The MWC model with a U.S. pattern 12/24 hour dial format is a direct descendant of the G10 watches we produced in the 1980s. It retains the popular battery hatch, a feature discarded by most other manufacturers of general service watches. Originally, the battery hatch was essential because early quartz watch batteries lasted only about a year. Today, with the battery in this watch lasting around five years, the hatch serves more as a design detail, preserving its historical significance.

This watch also benefits from the use of Luminova for improved nighttime visibility. Luminova functions like a light battery: after sufficient activation by sunlight or artificial light, the dial glows in the dark until the luminosity gradually fades. Larger markings often remain visible throughout the night. This activation and emission process is repeatable indefinitely, and Luminova does not suffer from aging, unlike the tritium paint used in the past. Additionally, Luminova pigments are completely free of radioactivity.

The MWC G10 is one of the company's most tried and tested models, with earlier versions in service for over 40 years. Military personnel have consistently given positive feedback on this well-established model. Factors contributing to the watch's durability include the screw-down locking crown, which offers superior protection compared to more vulnerable push-in crowns, and the sapphire crystal, which is both shatter and scratch-resistant.

The back of the case bears various contract markings, and the watch is supplied with two current pattern 20mm NATO webbing straps, one black and one grey.

Synthetic sapphire is the best material for watch crystals due to its strength and resistance to shattering and scratching. These characteristics make it highly desirable for military and security personnel, police officers, and outdoor enthusiasts, who make up over 70% of our customers. Accidents resulting in cracked crystals typically involve watches with mineral glass. Even our hardened mineral crystals cannot match the durability of sapphire under adverse conditions. Sapphire crystals are strengthened by heat treatment to remove internal stresses, followed by the application of two layers of anti-reflective coating.
